On Tuesday 15th September 2020, the Public Procurement Assessment Team from the Public Procurement Authority (PPA) carried out an assessment exercise in the Denkyembour District Assembly.

The team assessed documents and processes of the district’s Human Resources Department including the Profile of the assembly and measures that had been put in place to train staff of the assembly. The team also inspected audit reports, the annual and quarterly cash flows, payment vouchers, warrants, ledger books, stores vouchers, tender documents, contracts, procurement plans and other important files from 2016 to 2019.

Although the team made some critical recommendations, the entire assessment was very successful; with the district performing very well in relation to all the indicators requested by the assessment team.

The District Finance Officer; Mr Dan M K Mabe and the District Internal Auditor; Mr Christian Ofori thanked the team for their recommendations and promised to work on them. The team also expressed their gratitude to the assembly for the warm reception.
