Enterpreneurship Training for PWDs in the Denkyembour District.

On Friday 26th November 2021, Persons with Disabilities within selected communities of the Denkyembour District were trained on Entrepreneurship skills at the District Assembly Hall. The objective of the training was to equip and empower persons living with disabilities to have the mindset of entrepreneurship in order to embark on a small fetching income generating business on their own.
The Head of Social Welfare Unit for the district; Mr Bernard Abangiba; in his opening remarks welcomed all participants to the training and expressed his gratitude to them for their dedication towards learning about entrepreneurship. He also Made a humble appeal to all participants to frequently involve themselves in such training programs to further sharpen their skills on entrepreneurship.
The first resource person who doubles as the District Budget Analyst; Mr Eric Eshun took the participants through Entrepreneurship. He mentioned that for anyone to be successful in any business venture, the person must be dedicated and willing to succeed. He also mentioned that, individuals must have a business plan and follow it accordingly to that the business can succeed. He encouraged them that no matter how small the business may look like, it is important to be fully committed to the work in order to make a living out of it.
The participants were also trained on how to make perfumes, body splash and cologne as a means of business. The resource person explained the steps of making the items very thoroughly.
Also present at the training was Mrs. Mabel Twumwaa Acheampong; Head of Social Welfare and Community Development and Mr. Elvis Offei-Bekoe; Head of Information Services Department.
