Breast cancer is one of the leading causes of cancer deaths among women worldwide, and early detection is crucial for successful treatment. The screening program was therefore an important initiative to promote the health and well-being of the staff of the assembly.
The screening process involved a clinical breast examination. The healthcare professionals provided information on breast cancer awareness and prevention, as well as guidance on how to perform self-breast examinations.
Overall, the screening was a success, with a good turnout of staff members. The Department of Social Welfare and Community Development plans to organize more health screenings in the future to ensure the well-being of its staff and promote healthy living in the community.
