The Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice was established under the 1992 constitution of Ghana by the CHRAJ ACT, 1993 (Act 456). It has three broad mandates, namely Human rights, Administrative Justice and Anti-Corruption. The vision of the commission is a society that is truly free, just and equitable, where human rights and human dignity are respected, where power is accountable and governance is transparent. Its mission is that the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice exists to enhance the scale of good governance, democracy, integrity, peace and social development by promoting, protecting and enforcing fundamental human rights and freedoms and Administrative Justice for all persons in Ghana.
