District Chief Executive for Denkyembour District joins Clean-up Exercise at Kusi

On Sunday 3rd August 2025, the District Chief Executive (DCE) for Denkyembour District, Honorable Umar Ahmed Tutu, joined traditional authorities, the Assembly Member, and the entire Kusi community in a massive clean-up exercise organized by the community.
The exercise formed part of ongoing efforts to improve sanitation and environmental cleanliness within the district. The DCE, together with the chiefs, elders, and residents of Kusi, desilted gutters, cleared choked drains, swept streets, weeded overgrown areas, and properly disposed of refuse. Shops and market stalls were also tidied up to ensure a cleaner trading environment.
Addressing participants after the exercise, the DCE commended the chiefs and people of Kusi for their communal spirit and urged them to sustain such initiatives to promote good health and environmental hygiene. He reiterated the Assembly’s commitment to supporting communities with logistics and awareness campaigns to maintain a clean and healthy district.
The traditional authorities expressed appreciation to the DCE for his participation and support, emphasizing that the exercise fostered unity and collective responsibility in addressing sanitation challenges.
The clean-up exercise ended successfully with renewed pledges by all stakeholders to make Kusi one of the cleanest communities in the Denkyembour District.
