Denkyembour District Assembly Commissions Toilet Facility in Anweaso

On Tuesday 16th March 2021, the Denkyembour District Assembly under the leadership of the District Chief Executive; Honourable Seth Ofosu Birikorang and District Coordinating Director; Mr. Mark Addo, commissioned a toilet facility in Anweaso, a community in the Denkyembour district.
Present at the ceremony were the DCE; Honourable Seth Ofosu Birikorang, the District Coordinating Director; Mr. Mark Addo, the District Planning Officer; Mr. Mohammed B. Abdullai, the District Information Officer; Mr. Elvis Offei-Bekoe, the Assembly member for Anweaso; Honourable Alhassan Seidu, Unit Committee members and chiefs of Anweaso.
The chief and members of Anweaso welcomed the DCE and his team and expressed his gratitude to them for constructing a toilet facility for the community. He stated that, this project would drastically reduce open defecation in the community.
The District Chief Executive also urged the community to take good care of the toilet facility so that it lasts longer for them. He also informed the Assembly member and the Chiefs of Anweaso, that the project has been handed over to them and that they should ensure the cleanliness of the facility. He also assured them that plans are far advanced to bring other developmental projects to the community.
The Assembly member for Anweaso community; Honourable Alhassan Seidu, on behalf of the Chiefs and Community expressed his gratitude to the Denkyembour District Assembly for considering the people of Anweaso and constructing the project for them.
