Denkyembour District Assembly Holds First Management Meeting for 2025

The Denkyembour District Assembly held its first management meeting of the year on Wednesday, 8th January 2025, at the District Assembly Hall. The meeting was chaired by the District Coordinating Director, Mr. Aaron Otoo. It was convened to set the tone for the year by discussing strategies to ensure effective development, revenue mobilization, and other key areas of administration.

In his opening remarks, Mr. Otoo emphasized the importance of starting the year on a strong and positive note. He encouraged all staff and stakeholders to work collaboratively towards achieving the Assembly’s developmental goals.

The meeting focused on several critical issues, including Development Plans for 2025. The Assembly outlined priority areas for development, including infrastructure, education, and health. Also, emphasis was placed on identifying projects that align with the district’s medium-term development plan.

Another area of discussion was on Revenue Mobilization. Strategies to improve internally generated funds (IGF) were discussed. Participants explored innovative approaches to enhance revenue collection, including improved property rate collection and collaboration with local businesses.

Staff Attendance and Performance and concerns about staff attendance and punctuality were raised. The Assembly resolved to enforce strict attendance monitoring mechanisms to ensure accountability and productivity.

In his closing remarks, Mr. Aaron Otoo thanked all participants for their contributions and reiterated the Assembly’s commitment to achieving tangible results in 2025. He urged all staff to remain dedicated and proactive in their respective roles. The meeting adjourned with a renewed sense of purpose and optimism for the year ahead.
