Denkyembour District Assembly Holds Works Sub-Committee Meeting

On Wednesday, 12th June 2024, the Works Sub-committee held its first meeting at the District Assembly Hall. The meeting commenced with an opening address by the District Works Engineer. The session was overseen by the District Works Engineer, Engr. Wonder Davor.
The first item on the agenda was the election of the Chairperson. Nominations were called, and Honorable Daniel Atidoglo was unanimously elected as the Chairperson of the Works Sub-Committee. Following the election, the DCD, Mr. Aaron Otoo, proceeded to swear in the members of the sub-committee. Each member took an oath to serve diligently and uphold the responsibilities entrusted to them.
Honorable Daniel Atidoglo, upon being elected as Chairperson, expressed his gratitude to the members for their confidence in his leadership. He emphasized his commitment to ensuring the sub-committee’s goals and objectives are met efficiently and effectively. He called for unity and cooperation among all members to achieve their common goals.
Engr. Wonder Davor, the District Works Engineer, provided an overview of the duties and responsibilities of the Works Sub-Committee. He outlined the key areas of focus, including infrastructure development, maintenance of public facilities, and ensuring the implementation of projects within the district. He also highlighted the importance of regular monitoring and evaluation to ensure quality and timely completion of projects.
The sub-committee engaged in a thorough discussion on various recommendations to be presented to the Executive Committee. Topics included prioritization of ongoing projects, allocation of resources, and strategies for addressing challenges faced in previous projects. Members provided valuable insights and suggestions, which were noted for further deliberation and inclusion in the final recommendations. Notable recommendation was the urgent need to repair the Boadua Bridge.
The meeting concluded with closing remarks from the newly elected Chairperson Honorable Daniel Atidoglo. He reiterated the importance of teamwork and encouraged members to remain proactive and committed to the tasks ahead. He thanked all members for their contributions and adjourned the meeting.
